ROOST79 MAGAZINE

(Special Events & Community Hap-Nins')

Hey, Hey, Hey, it's that time again... HOMECOMING TAILGATE party to kick the Ravens Football Season at the Corinthians, 9/7/2008,  10am - 4pm.    Remember: Your Current Membership card is required.

Well now, for those of you members, still suffering from your usual holiday haunts, and couldn't get out of bed as you promised,  you truly missed a treat.  About 15-18 of your Roost79 fellow members trudged from the Corinthian on their way to be downtown (Broadway and Thames Streets,  for the 6:15am, MANIC MONDAY live viewing. Ron Matz (The Ronster) TV Reporter,  was on hand to help kick off the 2008 football season and sing "Manic Monday" on Labor Day morning on WJZ TV 13.
Other participating fellow Roost were, , 15, 18, 4, 50, POE the Bird and the one and only CAPTAIN DEFENSE.

Ron Matz reports it was an early wake-up call Monday morning in Baltimore as dozens of fans turned out in Fells Point for a "purple" Manic Monday.Ravens super fan Bobby Nyk led the chorus as the Ravens faithful turned the square in Fells Point into a sea of purple. Fans, filled with excitement, counted the days until the start of a new season.

Sports Steve says Sunday's game will be a milestone.

"It's always a new fresh start for all Ravens fans and all football fans in Baltimore," said Steve.  "I was out there the night they took our Colts away in the middle of the night.  I know what it does to hurt people and I never want to see that happen again."

During Manic Monday, the crowd, Poe and Fan Man went wild. The Roosts are ready to rock.

"Just driving in to Baltimore this morning and seeing the stadium gave me goosebumps. So, I can't wait for our first real game," said Danie, Ravens cheerleader.

You can catch all the action Sunday at 1 p.m. on WJZ-13 when the Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals. (@Excerpt)
